An understated sleeveless dress that is ideal for daytime dressing, the V&A Izzy Flared Dress has a simple elegance. A flared midi skirt that gathers gently at the waist of a simple round-necked bodice: dress up with sandals for the office or a lunch date, or with pristine white trainers and a cardigan for a relaxed look to meet with friends. The delicate floral motifs of Izzy come from a cotton chintz from the V&A collection. The original textile was created by the firm Miles & Edwards, whose Oxford Street emporium sold fabrics to prestigious clients in the early 19th century. Recoloured in blues and whites to achieve a unique look, this print is the perfect blend of simplicity and elegance.
